CHWs in the state of Texas...news alert! DSHS is accepting applications for CHWs and a professional who works with CHWs, with the deadline of Thursday, November 30, 2017. This is a great opportunity for CHWs to engage on the state level and learn the various processes that are involved with community health workers in the state of Texas.
I have had the honor of being a part of this committee for almost 1 year and it has been amazing! I've not only met many people in the field and been able to increase my knowledge and understanding of the processes, I've had the opportunity to have a voice and see change take place. It's been an amazing experience and I can't wait to meet the new committee members and what we will accomplish all together coming together across the great state of Texas!
